Lake Tenno, also known as Lago di Tenno, has a captivating origin story. In the 11th century, a significant landslide event altered the course of the River Secco, creating this picturesque alpine lake. Over time, the basin filled with water, giving rise to the serene beauty of Lake Tenno. This stunning lake covers an area of 195 thousand square meters and reaches a maximum depth of approximately 47 meters. What sets it apart from many other lakes is its lack of outlets, which contributes to its unique ecological characteristics. While some affectionately refer to it as the “Blue Lake,” for the locals, it’s simply known as the “laghet,” or small lake.
