5 Stunning Corsican Beaches

Map of Corsica
1. Saleccia beach
Located in the northern part of Corsica, Plage de Saleccia is one of the island’s most popular beaches. The beach is renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty, pristine white sand, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Surrounded by a dense pine forest, the beach offers a home to various marine life, such as sea turtles and dolphins. You can take a boat or a 4×4 vehicle to reach the beach. By driving, follow the D81 road from Saint-Florent and look for signs to Plage de Saleccia. Alternatively, you can take a taxi boat from Saint-Florent. Unfortunately, the beach was not as clean as expected during my visit.
2. Roya a St. Florent beach
Located near the town of Saint-Florent in the northern part of Corsica, Plage de la Roya is a beautiful beach with clear turquoise waters, white sand, and stunning mountain views. It is a small beach, but perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation. Accessible by car, the beach has ample parking and several nearby restaurants and cafes to grab a bite.
3. Petit Sperone beach
After a 10-minute walk from Piantarella beach, you’ll find Plage du Petit Sperone, an isolated and breathtaking beach in Corsica. It features pristine white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and a peaceful atmosphere with few visitors. Although it is relatively small, it’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. This was my favourite beach in Corsica.
4. Piantarella beach
In the southern part of Corsica, you can find Plage de Piantarella, a large and beautiful beach that offers crystal-clear waters, white sand, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The beach is conveniently located right before the Petit Sperone beach, and there are plenty of water sports available for those who want to try something new.
5. Palombaggia beach
Palombaggia Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica, is located on the southern coast of Corsica, France, approximately 10 kilometers southeast of Porto-Vecchio. It boasts stunning turquoise waters, fine white sand, and granite rock formations, making it a popular destination for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports such as kayaking and windsurfing. Despite our late afternoon arrival and having to leave the next day, Palombaggia Beach is truly a one-of-a-kind beach.
