Serene atmosphere at the Palm shore

While staying in a small village in the Heraklion region of Crete, we decided to visit the famous Vai Beach. Despite being nearly 200 km away, which meant a 3-hour drive, we were eager to explore this unique destination. The long ride was filled with captivating scenery and new areas to discover along the way.

When we arrived on a warm June day, the heat greeted us, so we first relaxed on a terrace under the shade of the palm trees. It was incredible to see so many palm trees in a Mediterranean setting. We enjoyed the good weather lounging under the palms and later on the sandy beach and in the water.

A highlight was climbing up the rocks for a breathtaking view of the entire area. This visit to Vai Beach was truly memorable, blending the tropical ambiance with Mediterranean charm.

Adding to its allure, Vai Beach served as the picturesque backdrop for the famous Bounty chocolate bar commercial, which showcased its stunning beauty to the world.
